As part of the conveyancing process, we are legally required to verify your identity.
HooYu our trusted, online identification partner help us to do this, so that we can progress your property sale or purchase, safely and quickly. Using an online specialist we can speed up the process without the need for you to visit us in person or to post valuable documents to us.
Is using HooYu safe? Yes. HooYu use a TLS encrypted connection to keep your data secure. They delete all copies of your documents and ID as soon as the identity check is completed. What is HooYu? HooYu is an identity confirmation tool used by leading banks such as NatWest and top online gambling sites like Betfred.

And, they use an encrypted connection, so we can guarantee that your data is protected and secure, giving you complete peace of mind.
Easy as 1, 2, 3!
Completing your identify verification through HooYu is quick and easy with a few simple steps. We’ll tell you what documentation to have ready, then all you need to do is:
- Do your liveness/selfie photo so that we can perform fraud and biometric checks.
- Take any photos of your ID document(s) such as driving licence or passport.
- That’s it! You should receive confirmation by SMS or email that we’ve verified your identity.
Is this safe?
Yes. HooYu use an encrypted connection to secure your data. HooYu automatically deletes all documents used to calculate ID scores, within 72-96 hours of the completed ID verification. Once deleted, HooYu is no longer able to reproduce the results of the verification.
Sharing information
We’ll share your contact details with HooYu as part of the verification process, they will then share identity verification information with us.
